Katamari Creator Teases Alphabet Gameplay

When Keita Takahashi announced his newest game was going to be promoted as a part of the LA Game Space Kickstarter, I had to check it out. It was going to be quirky and the man clearly lives up to his legacy with this odd Alphabet platformer. Created with Canabalt creator Adam Saltsman, it really seems to work with the specific letters working together to overcome simple obstacles.

It doesn’t look very complicated, but Takahashi’s games are more about accessibility mixed with some oddly quirky appeal. Alphabet looks to fill that nicely. Below you’ll be able to see two alpha footage .gifs showcasing the game’s concept.

I have been gaming for 20 years and have seen this industry go from one geared towards children, to one that has grown to accept all demographics. I've grown up side by side with video games and I've seen it turn into this phenomenon. Of course I also enjoy entertainment in all mediums whether it be film, book or sports. I'm just a huge nerd that loves writing about his hobbies.
