GTA: San Andreas Becomes ‘Mobile’

Do you wanna steal cars, shoot guns, and bang hookers on the go? Well, you’re in luck. This December, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be available on most mobile devices. Imagine, commandeering a virtual vehicle in GTA while riding shotgun in a real life car. That’s some meta shit right there.

If you were too young to play it on the PS2/Xbox (or if, like me, your parents didn’t let you play it), then this a great opportunity to become (re)acquainted with an earlier entry in the GTA franchise. Set in the early 90s, your playground encompasses the cities of Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas. Featuring newly remastered graphics, dynamic shadows, greater draw distance, and an improved color palette, this is the best looking San Andreas to date.

My biggest concern is whether the newly-implemented touch controls will feel as smooth. However, San Andreas for mobile does come with controller support for the iOS7. GTA: San Andreas can be purchased for select iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle, Windows Mobile devices sometime in the next few weeks.
