Wii U Horror Exclusive The Letter Launches on eShop for Only $2

Today, an interesting little title launched its way onto Nintendo’s Wii U eShop. The Letter is a first person exploration-adventure horror game developed by TreeFall Studios and is exclusive to Wii U consoles.

There’s a lot of interesting little notes about this game:

TreeFall Studios, and thus The Letter, consists of only two individuals.

The Letter‘s IndieGogo campaign raised a tiny $377 out of its $5000 goal. And it still made it onto the eShop.

The game does indeed only cost $2. You can probably finish the game in less than ten minutes.

It earned a T rating from the ESRB for violence and blood. Those are fairly rare on Nintendo consoles.

Interesting little title, isn’t it? Check out the premise of this exploration-based adventure game:

The Letter is a first person adventure horror game. In this game you play as Michael Kennedy. Michael receives a letter from his from his father, Taylor James Kennedy, who is writing to him while on the verge of death. He states that by the time Michael reads the letter he will already be gone. Taylor does not have much to tell or leave his son, just one lasting statement, never trust anyone. He asks Michael to stay away from his job site, where he has gone missing. Of course, Michael is an adventurous young lad you loves his father dearly, although he has not always been there for him. Michael decides to head out of his house, or room in his remodeled industrial loft, and go to the job site anyway as he can not live without knowing what has happened to his father. From there he will discover clues and other letters leading to the conclusion of his father’s mystery. Where will these clues take you? Can Michael make it safely? What has happened to his father?

Here’s a first look at the game? Or maybe it’s the entire game? Should I warn you of spoilers? Maybe? I think? Anyway, haha, if The Letter seems like your cup of tea, you can give it a purchase over at the Wii U eShop! I mean really, what’s the worst that could happen? You wasted two bucks?
