Shadow of Mordor’s New Update Brings Your Worst Enemy and Best Ally to Shadow of War

Your worst enemy follows you.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War brings back the fascinating Nemesis System featured in the original game, and anyone that played Shadow of Mordor will have a little treat with the game’s new update. The Nemesis Forge update adds in a new option to Shadow of Mordor that will identify your highest ranking Nemesis and most loyal follower, bringing them over to your game when you start up Shadow of War.

Nemesis Forge is a free update, and you’ll need to go into the main menu of Shadow of Mordor to select the option. It remains to be seen how much of a role your Nemesis and follower will play in Shadow of War, but it’s certainly going to be interesting to see how things carry over. You can see more about the Nemesis Forge update in the trailer below. There will also be a Twitch stream tomorrow at 2PM PST, detailing the Nemesis system and new update.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War will launch on October 10 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Make sure to take a look at some of your hands-on impressions of the game from E3, including big changes coming to the Nemesis system and the new massive siege battles.
