Minecraft Development Update for Xbox One, PS4, and PS Vita

4J Studios took to Twitter today to give anxious fans an update on the status of Minecraft on Xbox One, PS4, and PS Vita. According to them, we may be able to play the game within the next few weeks.

It was a few days ago that 4J explained that Minecraft on PS4 failed the certification test by Sony. It seems the developer was able to resolve the bugs and get the game back to Sony rather quickly:

Next, 4J announced that they would be handing over the Xbox One version of the game to Microsoft by the end of this week:

And finally, 4J explained that there would be a few update tests in order to add the ability to port Xbox 360 and PS3 saves to their current-gen counterparts:

Certification by Microsoft and Sony can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks so it seems that the original August release date will shift to a September one. Though it may be considered a delay, many fans (myself included) are grateful to 4J Studios for providing consistent updates on the game’s development. Now if the game would just get here already…
