For those of you who like a little more depth to your pinball, upcoming title Rollers of the Realm has got your fix.
Indie developer Phantom Compass explains how they’ve melded the pinball and RPG genres. Utilizing ideas such as changing your ball size to increase strength, taking damage to your flippers to diminish yours, and putting enemies onto the pinball area of play. After watching the trailer, the notion of seeing those satisfying damage numbers pop up when your ball hits walls and barricades makes it seem irresistible.
The game will feature 10 playable characters, all of whom have different abilities, that you can switch between on the fly. As a huge pinball fan, I’m looking forward to using the drunken knight character and experiencing some intentionally wonky physics for myself.
Rollers of the Realm is being published by Atlus and will be arriving in November of this year. It will cost $9.99 for PC, and will feature cross-buy and cross-save for PS4 and PSVita.
