Ubisoft has apparently been reaching out to some of their customers via the use of surveys to see what players would like to see in the future of their popular first person shooter series, Far Cry.
With Far Cry 4 only being released about two months ago, it isn’t unheard of that Ubisoft would come out this early to see what fans of the series would like to see in the next game(s). However, some of the options on the survey are a bit hmmm, unique. Eurogamer originally shed first light on this story, including a screenshot of the supposed survey questionnaire.
The survey lists off ideas such as:
- A game in remote Alaska about surviving extreme wilderness
- A game in a futuristic sci-fi setting on another planet
- A game set in the Vietnam war during the 1960s
- A game set in the cocaine trafficking jungles of Peru
- A game where you can fight against or join vampires
- A game in the Spaghetti Western style set in the late 19th century Americas
- A game that is set during a zombie outbreak
- Blood Dragon 2 A sequel to Blood Dragon with more Rex Power Colt
- A game set in a Mad Max style post-apocalyptic world
- A game in the present day on a Jurassic Park style island of dinosaurs
- A game based on the world of Shangri-La from Far Cry 4
Or simple enough, other.
This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has looked to the players for advice either, as they did the same thing back in 2010 for fresh new ideas for the Assassin’s Creed series. By releasing surveys like this, it shows that they care what the players want. Despite the many glitches a few of their games have had in the recent past, Ubisoft seems to be actually listening.
