Alien: Isolation Surpasses the One Million Mark

I admire its purity.

Sega announced today that Alien: Isolation, developed by Creative Assembly, has “sold through in excess of one million units worldwide”.

Alistair Hope, the Creative Lead, also mentioned that the team had “set out to make the Alien game [they] had always wanted to play, and from these figures it seems [they] also succeeded in making the Alien game another million wanted to play.”

With over 50 Game of the Year accolades, it really wasn’t much of a surprise to hear that Alien: Isolation had managed to break through the one million mark. Serving as a wonderful tribute to Ridley Scott’s Alien, the game is a first-person survival horror game set in the Sevastopol station. You take control of Amanda Ripley, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, as you navigate your way through the station while avoiding attacks from the titular Xenomorph as well as other synthetic enemies.

Alien: Isolation is out now for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out our review of the game here.
