Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Explorers Is Coming to the West Early Next Year

Square Enix's new co-op action game is coming to the West afterall.

Earlier today Square Enix confirmed that their upcoming action game Final Fantasy Explorers will be coming to the West after all. To be more exact, the trailer revealed that Final Fantasy Explorers will be released on Jan 26 in North America and Gematsu reported that it will be coming to Europe on Jan 29.

In Final Fantasy Explorers, players will be able to team up with up to three other players to take on a wide variety of monsters. They will be able to customize their character with one of 20 job classes including the ranger, the knight, the black mage, the white mage, and the dragoon class.

Players will also be able to catch and train a variety of monsters including dragons and even the Malboro. Throughout the game, players will also encounter some of the series most well-known eidolons such as Ifrit, Shiva, Odin, and, of course, Bahumat. To help get an edge in combat players will also be able to turn into famous Final Fantasy characters such as Lightning, Cloud, and Squall thanks to the games “Trance” feature.
