The Angry Birds Movie Gets an Official Teaser Trailer

Basically SNL with birds.

An official teaser trailer for The Angry Birds Movie has released from Sony. The premise seems to follow the hijinx of three birds (Red, Chuck, and Bomb) with a bit of an anger issue. It’ll include a surprisingly star-studded comedy cast with Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, and Keegan-Michael Key. Peter Dinklage is apparently also there.

The screenplay is written by Jon Vitti, who has done work with The Simpsons, The Office, and King of the Hill in the past, while the directors are Clay Kaytis (Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen) and Fergal Reilly (Hotel Transylvania, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). This is Rovio’s first movie for the franchise of games and is slated for release in theaters Summer 2016.

What do you think of the trailer? Could we have a good video game movie soon enough? Let us know in the comments below!
