New Outlast II Teaser Has Dropped in Time for Halloween

Great! I am terrified!

Red Barrels revealed their Outlast II teaser today. It features a slow zoom out of a satanic, burning cross, and then a ton of eyes shown through the night vision camera lens. How nice.

That the video shows off the night vision camera is a sign it will make its return as a mechanic in Outlast II. However, new characters and a new setting will be central to the sequel. While there hasn’t been more information released, co-founder of Red Barrels Philippe Morin had this to say in an interview with IGN:

“Human nature pushes us to extremes of violence and depravity, which we then justify by divine inspiration and a promise of paradise to come. Horror rises from desperation and blind faith. Outlast 2 will test your faith, pushing players to a place where going mad is the only sane thing to do.”

Outlast II’s release date is set for the window of Fall 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
