Pre-Orders Available for Feenix’s New High-End Aria Gaming Headphones

I’m a sucker for all things audio, so when I spotted these new headphones by Feenix, I couldn’t help but get a little excited. Feenix is not a familiar name in the audio realm, but their new Aria headphones make it look like they’ve been doing it for years.

Priced at a steep $350, these premium grade headphones are clearly being marketed towards the ultimate audiophile. With 50mm drivers (as opposed to Astro A40′s 40mm drivers), Feenix promises a full but not overpowering low-end response. The acoustic chambers housing the drivers are crafted from Japanese pine wood, ensuring a full and warm tone. They will be capable of stereo as well as simulated surround sound.

For 350 bones, these things better be comfy as hell. The earcushions themselves are made with memory foam and protein leather, and will completely surround your ears so you can really sink into the sound. Feenix has even gone as far as to assign each Aria owner with a personal support manager. Ohhh you fancy now, huh?

These aren’t being pushed towards any particular platform, so I would assume that PC gamers are the primary audience here, especially given their hardware history of keyboards and mice. However, it does mention on their site that a USB adapter is included, which could potentially open it up for anything with USB-audio capabilities. The fact that Feenix is paying attention to the needs of audiophiles like me is really appealing, although I don’t know if I’ll be spending that much on some headphones anytime soon.
