The Best Games of E3 2013

E3 2013 has now come and gone, yet the hype is still in the air. Nintendo had games, Sony had games and Microsoft unsuccessfully tried to kill controversy with games. It was one of the more eventful industry showings which bodes well for the transition in to the new console generation. This leads us to the same question we ask every year: what are the best games of E3? Well, here are your answers: Andres’ Game of E3: Super Smash [...]

E3 – Twinfinite’s E3 2013 Impressions

We survived, but at what cost? Yami’s soul, mostly. After being understaffed, overworked, and underpaid, Mike and I sat down to tell you all how E3 went for us. We go over some tips for newcomers, what were our favorite games, the parties we fist pumped at, and the wonderful people we met. I also do a lot of seat twirling because my chair has restless foot syndrome.

E3 – Showfloor Limpthrough

It’s no secret that this E3 was particularly hard on us. We only had two on-site correspondents and one of them (me) sprained their ankle on day 0 of the trip. Naturally, I had to limp to every conference, appointment, and meeting room to get shit done. Nothing got done. Originally, this video was going to be a dance through the showfloor. I was going to bust my moves at the most popular E3 locations, but then I decided to [...]

E3 – Picture Round-Up!

It’s over, it’s finally over! Why are all of Yami’s posts going up today? Well, I just awoke from a 14 hour coma. That’s why. If you thought I took an unnecessary amount of pictures during the conferences, you haven’t seen my picture round-up of the showfloor.

E3 – Drool Award Winners

Instead of giving out an excess amount of awards like we usually do at cons, this year we decided to narrow it down to five games that totally blew us away. Not an easy feat, considering the sheer number of games available at E3. Ladies and gentlemen, we present you with the winners of Twinfinite’s 2013 Drool Awards. These are in no particular order: The Evil Within The Walking Dead: 400 Days Spin the Bottle: Bumpie’s Party Saints Row [...]

E3 – Sony Press Conference Impressions

Now entering Twerkville, population: Sony. They brought down the house as they announced a variety of surprises. Seriously, who else is still on that Kingdom Hearts 3 tip? They saw Microsoft’s conference and said, “That’s nice.” Boom! No always-online. Boom! Used games allowed. Do you like animebullshit.com? BOOM, Final Fantasy Versus got murdered and then resurrected into Final Fantasy XIV. I was impressed with Sony’s conference the most because there was a huge bullet for gamers that got dodged. Sony could have [...]

E3 – Ubisoft Press Conference Impressions

I have a confession: I don’t think I like Ubisoft anymore. I don’t think I’ve liked them for quite some time now. Except for Rayman Legends, I’m not looking forward to their future lineup. It appears I’m also in the minority when I ask, “Why do people care about Watch_Dogs?” It looks like an okay game, don’t get me wrong… You know what, just watch the impressions video.

E3 – EA Press Conference Impressions

I’m not going to lie, this one almost did me in. Possibly because Battlefield and sports shut my brain off. Regardless of that, though, Mirror’s Edge 2, Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, Dragon Age III, and Star Wars Battlefront announcements were incredible. Drake was a massive “wtf” moment, why was he there? It didn’t help that our seats cut off one of the main screens halfway. Anyway, watch above to hear our impressions of the conference!

E3 – An Unnecessary Amount of Pictures From the Conferences

While we only managed to make it to Microsoft and EA, the general consensus is that showing up to these conferences is really only good the first time for the experience of it all. Hours of wait, being herded like sheep, and it’s all to just see what people at home see far better in the comfort of their office chair isn’t really a good deal to duplicate more than once. I took some wonderful photos that are really just [...]
