Pendleton Ward, D3 Publisher, WayForward Games, and Cartoon Network are once again uniting for a sequel to the 3DS game based on the hit animated series, Adventure Time, with yet another crazy awesome subtitle. Also, this time, the new Adventure Time game will be going multi-platform. Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW! will be making its debut on the WiiU, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Nintendo 3DS.

Cheesy but Great: Doritos Crash Course 2 Hits Xbox LIVE

When it comes to corporate sponsored, free-to-play, corn-based-product-based video games, look no further than Doritos Crash Course (2010). This little gem, a sidescrolling platformer inspired by obstacle course game shows like Ninja Warrior (Japan) and Wipeout (America), is surprisingly addictive. Players take control of their Xbox avatars, running, jumping, sliding, and weaving their way through a total of 15 colorful obstacle courses (30 with the “City Lights” DLC), racing against friends online and competing for the best times on the [...]

Saints Row IV Turns Political Power Into Super Power in New Trailer

As far as over the top games are considered, the Saints Row series continues to not only set the bar, but break it over the closest living things head in spectacular style. The franchise can basically do what ever it wants and this trailer titled Meet the President delivers this message quite clearly. The gameplay looks like that of Crackdown infused with a WWE flavor and, of course, Saints Row’s patented humor. It seems to be coming along nicely and is set for [...]

He Said/Ubi Said – Patrice Desilets and Ubisoft’s Divorce v2.0

Much like Ezio having to relive a memory in the Animus, it feels like history is repeating itself once again. Patrice Desilets, the game designer best known for creating the Assassin’s Creed series, has left Ubisoft after a brief reunion brought about by the publisher’s acquisition of THQ in January. Desilets quit Ubisoft back in 2010 for THQ, and ended up back there, no doubt leading to him feeling this way. This news is all very sudden, and each party [...]

Wolfenstein: The New Order Announced, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash Probably Not Involved

Announced earlier today, Bethesda is bringing us a new reason to walk another mile in B.J. Blazcowikz’s blood-soaked boots – Wolfenstein: The New Order. Set in alternate 1960′s where the Germans have won, there’s sure to be no shortage of Nazi blood to be shed. Wolfenstein has always been a personal favorite franchise of mine and I’m thrilled it’s coming back. Wolfenstein 3D is an undisputed classic. Return to Castle Wolfenstein was at the time one of, if not the, best shooters for both single and multiplayer. Even Raven’s current-gen [...]

Star Wars Chained to EA, New Games Coming Soon

In news that single-handedly defines the phrase “bittersweet,” EA has announced exclusive rights to games in the Star Wars franchise. They’ve also announced that Battlefield creators and arguable combat geniuses, DICE, would be working on new games in the franchise. Visceral will also be joining in the festivities. They’re both mentioned as “joining Bioware, which continues to develop for the Star Wars franchise.” Hopefully this means that Bioware is hard at work at something new besides more Old Republic content. A guy can hope, can’t he?

Next Xbox Codenamed ‘Fusion’

When you image search ‘next Xbox’ and this comes up, you don’t question it. As we approach closer to Microsoft’s upcoming event, more information is coming to light. One of them being that the original codename for it, ‘Durango’, has been dropped in favor of ‘Fusion’. Not only does this make us wonder what secrets have been kept behind Microsoft’s doors made entirely out of Bill Gate’s money, but it is a little more fitting, and not so much like [...]

“Spiritual Successor” to Eternal Darkness Announced

Fans of Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem (2002), the critically acclaimed survival horror classic on the GameCube, have reason to celebrate. After ten years of waiting, and numerous failed attempts at making a sequel, it seemed that Eternal Darkness was in some sort of development limbo. Many lost hope. Yet, on May 3rd, the original team of developers announced that they are launching a crowdfunding campaign (which begins Monday, May 6th, at 12:00 PM) for a “spiritual successor,” tentatively titled Shadow [...]
