Friendships End With Super Mario 3D World – Two Friends, One Backlog

You all asked for stupid Let’s Plays, so I’ll give you stupid Let’s Plays! I called up Andy and we decided that we needed to make the title of this new show as inappropriate as possible. Why not play games we’ve never played and try to stop the overflowing backlog between us both? Two Friends, One Backlog was born. Enjoy the first and only episode, as we’re no longer friends after this. Super Mario 3D World is war.

Indie Games, Mainstream? Golden Girls vs Capcom? – Twinfinite Discusses

We’re back with another Twinfinite Discusses! While Alex and Austin still haven’t returned from their honeymoon, Muaz joined Andy and I once again to talk about the topics and questions you sent us in. Here’s an episode on whether indie games will ever truly be mainstream, what kind of gaming hybrid filled with different game mechanics we’d love to make together, and which TV shows would make fantastic video games.

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 Announced

I was quite surprised by Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. I had always had a natural distrust of any Pac-Man title that was in 3D. Since this was based on a cartoon as well my hopes weren’t very high. Fortunately Namco produced a surprisingly good platformer.  What really kept the game interesting was the variations of abilities Pac-Man would assume during levels and how they worked with the enemies inside. Expanding upon the simple ghost munching mechanics with complex abilities [...]

The Next Fatal Frame Coming to Wii U, Nightmares Guaranteed

As recently announced in Famitsu, the video game world can look forward to the return of Fatal Frame, a franchise guaranteed to scare the piss out of you. The games are based around a general premise, make you explore eerie Japanese settings typically armed with only a camera. You are then encouraged to, as you can guess, take pictures of said ghosts for points. The only problem is concentrating on the ghosts while you sob in fear and think of [...]

Nintendo Brings Fitness Games to D.C. for White House Easter Egg Roll

Nintendo, along with the National Park Foundation, will be co-sponsoring this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll which will take place on Monday April 21st. Nintendo will be bringing along Wii Fit U and Wii Sports Club with them to the annual event where children hunt and race eggs with a spoon across the South Lawn of the White House.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Not on Xbox One…Yet?

Are your spidey senses tingling at the thought of playing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on your shiny new Xbox One? I hope not, because you’re in for some mighty disappointing news. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be available April 29 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii U, and 3DS…but not the Xbox One. The first hint that something was amiss was when Activision pulled the Xbox One box art from the game’s site. Since then, Activision has commented, “We are [...]

Super Mario Bros. 3 on the 3DS Virtual Console and More GBA Games on Wii U

Everyone’s favorite plumbing simulator, Super Mario Bros. 3, is now available for download off of the 3DS eShop for $4.99. This is the original NES version of the game, so if you were hoping for the revamped All-Stars style GBA game, you’re gonna have to wait just a bit longer. But in the meantime, you can once again play what some consider to be the greatest NES game of all time anywhere and everywhere you go! I know I’ll be picking it up. [...]

DuckTales: Remastered Soundtrack Releasing Digitally on April 29th

One of the best surprises of last year was not just the actual release of DuckTales: Remastered, a polished remake of the original NES classic, but the amazing soundtrack of remixed and remastered tunes by chiptune mainstay, Jake “virt” Kaufman. The game itself was honestly worth actually buying for the music alone. So much so that fans were begging for a soundtrack release, but unfortunately that choice was in the hands of Disney and not Capcom or developer Wayforward. Now, a digital [...]
