It’s happening, you guys. It’s really happening. Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been confirmed to be a thing for quite a while now, but any amount of information on the much-anticipated sequel is plenty to get fans nice and hyped. Most recently, the first concept art for the new design of protagonist Jade has appeared on Twitter. And, boy, does she look fab. She seems to be sporting some sort of hakama-style pants this time around, and she just [...]

Missing the Boat – 5 Video Games Where You Really Needed to Be There

One of the most galvanizing things about being part of the video game community is when a game comes out that everybody is playing. Whether you are following along on Twitch, reading updates on Twitter, or playing on multiplayer servers, there is a palatable sense of togetherness that happens as a large cross-section dives into a new title at once. It happens regularly, but with a wide range of games; some that come to mind are Dark Souls, BioShock Infinite, [...]

LEGO The Hobbit Review – Going on an Adventure

Over the past 9 years, the LEGO series has evolved into an established franchise in the same vein as Call of Duty or Assassin’s Creed. Annual installments may have diminished the original luster of the series but each one is still a great game on its own. Developer Traveller’s Tales follow their established formula of taking a popular entertainment franchise and “LEGO-fying” it into a family-fun experience that captures the spirit of the source material. And just like the last [...]

Games You’re Looking Forward to This Year? – Twinfinite Discusses

Hey there! We’re back with another Twinfinite Discusses with special guest Muaz! He’s filling in for Austin and Alex these couple of weeks as they ran off to get married and go on their honeymoon, but we weren’t invited. I know, it’s a very confusing story that almost sounds like a lie (they’ll be back in a couple of weeks). This Twinfinite Discusses, we tackled the questions you sent in. Such topics as which games we’re looking forward to this [...]

PAX East – Shovel Knight Hands-On Impressions

While at PAX East, I got a chance to look at the almost complete Shovel Knight. The game is looking good on PC, Wii U, and 3DS with the title being very close to release. Yacht Games had two stages available to play, complete with end stage bosses to show off. The first thing I noticed upon picking up the game for the first time was just how tight the controls were. If you’ve ever played classic games like Ducktales [...]

PAX East – Organic Panic Hands-On Impressions

Organic Panic is a 2.5D Action-Puzzle platformer in development for every platform under the sun. Without a doubt my favorite indie title of PAX East 2014, Organic Panic prides itself in being a platformer with such dynamic environments that just about every inch of the map can be destroyed. As mentioned, Organic Panic‘s primary claim to fame (among many) is its fantastic physics. Movement is entirely defined by the influence of standard physics: streams of water will flush you away, [...]

Everything’s Coming Up Smash Bros. – Vlogging About Video Games

Are you crazy excited the next Super Smash Bros. like I am? Well, let’s hop right into the latest Vlogging About Video Games and chat about it together, shall we? It was a slow noos week, and I really only cared about the Smash Bros. direct. Thank GYAH for the questions you all sent in. (This week, I took from our Youtube community’s comments!) Oh, and I’m sorry about the crazy lighting! It’s this asshole called the sun. Yeah, guess [...]

Charizard and Greninja Confirmed for Super Smash Bros.

Everyone loves Pokémon right? Well at least Nintendo certainly does as evidenced by the announcement of two more playable Pokémon for the next iteration of its popular brawler Super Smash Bros. A new trailer introduces iconic Pokémon starter Charizard and new fan favorite from the most recent X and Y games, Greninja. They will join Super Smash Bros. poké-veterans Pikachu and Lucario.

Earthbound Lives in This New Citizens of Earth Teaser

After a failed Kickstarter campaign, the RPG adventure Citizens of Earth was fortunate enough to be picked up by publisher Atlus to help bring it to the world successfully. Since then, the game has come along very nicely, and its latest teaser trailers shows its heavy influences from the Nintendo’s classic Earthbound more than ever. Instead of a child imbued with psychokinetic abilities, however, Citizens of Earth has you playing as Vice President of the World, recruiting various citizens to [...]
