Kakamigahara-based developer Nippon Ichi Software has been very prolific over the past few years, with new titles coming basically in every season. Of course, they don’t intend to stop, as mentioned in a New Year special on the Japanese website 4Gamer.
First of all, President Souhei Niikawa revealed that he is personally working on a mobile game for the Makai Senki Disgaea series, and the team is directing its efforts in order to create a Disgaea unique to this app.
Lapis x Labyrinth Director Hirokazu Itano mentioned that if he gets the chance to make a sequel, he’s like to implement the requests and feedback he received from the fans of the first game. He also added that he will be involved in a variety of projects as a designer.
The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince planner Sayaka Oda said that she is involved in supervising the concept for a new game. She also added that she wants to try various new things to expand her horizons.
It’ll be interesting to see what Nippon Ichi will announce for 2019 and whether the Disgaea mobile game will feel like a traditional game of the franchise of something really completely new and unique.
