Assassin's Creed LogoUbisoft’s Assassin’s Creed is a historical action-adventure title filled with hidden societies and story twists of present day and historical times. Desmond the primary character through the series is part of a long bloodline of Assassin’s, their history protects something valuable that Abstergo wishes to obtain. Naturally to find such things, Desmond must play through memory footprints of his ancestry which lead to re-enacting wars, missions and struggles that his ancestry once faced.

Time periods do change at will for Assassin’s Creed, given the game is set in 2012 there’s a large span of time to fill where information on the Pieces of Eden may rest. The latest installment to the game uses a new protagonist (Conner Kenway) in a pirate setting to continue where Desmond’s legacy left off.

The action-adventure style has become known for fans of the series, the stealth action, assassinations and environments are leading elements for the franchise. Currently Assassin’s Creed spans 6 primary games with many supplemental game installments, comics, films and novels.

You wanted wardrobe changes, so you got them. A lot. Like, within this one episode, there’s at least four. Anyway, this week on Twinfinite Discusses, we answer the very important topics and questions you sent in. What character classes would Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Trina, and Rihanna be in an RPG? Should Nintendo embrace mobile? And which franchise would you love to give to another developer to handle (my answer is the best)?

Assassin’s Creed Movie Desynchronized, to be Rewritten

Are you excited about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender? If you are…well, you might want to have a seat. It turns out the script is going to be undergoing a complete rewrite by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. This has the potential to be good news in the end however, as both writers have made a name for themselves of late with scripts for Exodus: Gods & Kings as well as The General (a biopic about George [...]

Assassin’s Creed Comet Details Leaked?

Update: After the supposed leak of details about Assassin’s Creed Comet, trusted Ubisoft source “Mr_Shade” confirmed that the leaked post containing the press release was not his. This means that those details about the game are untrue though there is still no confirmation of the existence of the game itself.  Original story follows: — It’s that time of year again! After leaks about the existence of Assassin’s Creed Unity were confirmed by Ubisoft last week, another leak about the second rumored [...]

Assassin’s Creed: Unity Confirmed by Ubisoft

Allonsy! Only a few days after an anonymous leak, Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been confirmed by Ubisoft in the form of a sneek peak trailer. The video begins with the disclaimer that “the following is alpha game footage” and the Ubisoft logo with the phrase “Next-gen starts [here].” The stunning trailer features a moving shot of famous sights like a hallway at the Palace at Versailles, Parisian streets, and our new assassin overlooking a crowd amassing for an execution by [...]

VR, FFX Butts, Rollercoaster Tycoon is Ruined & More – Vlogging About Video Games

I talked about a lot of stuff in this episode of Vlogging About Video Games so let’s skip the intros and jump right in, shall we? Number one, virtual reality is coming and life will forever be amazing. Number two, Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is coming and I just can’t even exist anymore. Bye. Third, I’ve never been into Epic’s games, let’s talk about why. Fourth, the next Assassin’s Creed protagonist will probably have a hot accent, confirmed. Fifth, Final [...]

Leaked Images from Assassin’s Creed: Unity

While rumors have persisted online about the plans for this fall, leaked screenshots have surfaced of the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Code-named Assassin’s Creed: Unity, the game is set (at least partially) in 18th-century Paris presumably during the French Revolution. These screenshots feature Parisian landmarks such as Notre Dame and the Seine River in what appears to be an early build of the game.  And that’s just the beginning. Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be one of two major Assassin’s Creed games to be released in [...]

Be sure to ask your questions for Question Corner to my Twitter, and as always let me know what you think! I’m still figuring Vlogging About Video Games out so your feedback is always appreciated.

Make It So – An Assassin’s Creed V About American Slavery

Earlier yesterday, we got our first look at what could be the protagonist of the hotly anticipated Assassin’s Creed V in a blurry cell phone image taken deep inside Ubisoft Montreal. Of course, the existence of a follow up to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was never in doubt, given the surprising success the game had with critics and fans alike. Caribbean piracy, it turns out, is really damn fun. Rather, the question is what the question always is with [...]

Assassin’s Creed V Protagonist Revealed?

This is the time of year when Ubisoft takes to the internet to announce the next installment in the annual Assassin’s Creed franchise. So while we haven’t seen a trailer or press release, a leaked image has revealed what could be the next protagonist in the series. An image of the offices in Ubisoft Montreal, as seen above, shows a large wall poster of an unfamiliar assassin. Because this character has never been seen in any of the other Assassin’s Creed properties, we are [...]

Assassin’s Creed Sequel Won’t Be in Japan

Cue the sighs of disappointment. In a recent interview, Ubisoft’s managing director Jade Raymond discussed the Assassin’s Creed series and revealed that next installment will take place in her favorite historical age but denied rumors that it would be set in feudal Japan. “When we’re building a franchise, we’re thinking of a whole universe and how we’re developing a meta-story that could live on for many years in games and TV,” Raymond says. “If the story has nowhere to go, then [...]
