[Review] Comics Released 10/31/12

Hiya gang! I return from my long exile a changed man. A better man. A man who isn’t two months behind on comics. (Seriously, don’t ever get wicked behind on comics because it’s damn near impossible to catch up.) I’ll never leave you for this long ever again. Now to business. Marvel has been wrapping up its’ books and the AvX crossover event to prepare for the Marvel NOW! reboot/relaunch/revamp. DC just recently finished up its’ first year since the [...]

[Review] Comics Released 08/08/12

Hi folks! This was a strange week. The comics I liked, I really liked. The rest were, in the words of Chris, just “Meh.” DC has been wrapping up their first year since the reboot and focusing on expanding their new backstory in the upcoming #0 issues. Marvel’s AvX event is finishing up and I’m wondering how much more tension they can build without some sort of resolution. Hopefully the next couple of issues will close it out with a [...]

[Review] Comics Released 7/27/12

Ciao amici! Marvel’s AvX storyline continues to put out interesting books. DC’s New 52 seems to have hit a creative plateau where the good books are great and the bad books are mind-numbingly boring. Hopefully the new #0 issues and the upcoming second year will refocus all the mediocre and just plain bad books or scrap them and bring in new ones. Speaking of DC, for those who haven’t seen The Dark Knight Rises, go watch it right now! We [...]

[Review] Comics Released 7/11/12

Hola amigos! Another week means another set of reviews. Avengers vs X-Men is hitting its peak. The Court of Owls storyline in the Batman books has wrapped up. The Walking Dead has hit a major milestone by releasing the 100th issue. Dogs are chasing cats. The sun has been rising in the east. All is right with the world. Except for the insane heat outside. Hit the jump for a list of releases and my picks. Goony googoo!

[Review] Comics Released 5/9/12

Privet comrades. If you’ve been keeping up with the site, you probably listened to our amazing Comicscast Episode #2, if you haven’t, give it a look-see. On the comics side of things, this was another release heavy week and it took me a while to finalize my top picks for the week. Finally, if you haven’t seen the Avengers movie yet, stop whatever you’re doing and go watch it. We recorded a SpoilerCast about it and, just a heads up [...]

[Review] Comics Released 04/25/12

Konnichiwa. Most of the time, DC and Marvel are neck and neck in terms of the quality of their comics on a week to week basis. This week, Marvel was clearly head and shoulders above their competition. I don’t think there has been this weak of a release day since the DC reboot a few months ago. We will be recording the second episode of our monthly “Comicscast” in a few days so send us any questions you have! On [...]

[Review] Comics Released 4/11/12 and a review of Avengers vs X-Men #1

Bonjour! Welcome to another weekly comic roundup. It was a bit crazy last week with all the excitement from Avengers vs X-Men #1 and gearing up for my first PAX East, which was phenomenal. We should be recording a convention wrap-up episode of the TSFT podcast soon, so look out for that. I, like 75% of the people in attendance,  went a bit overboard and got sick with what can only be described as a sinus demon. Now that he [...]

[Review] Comics Released 3/28/12

Welcome to another weekly round-up. I don’t know what’s going on, but last week was the largest release day in a long while. The biggest story is that the Avengers vs X-Men event FINALLY started. Read on after the jump for the list of releases and my picks of the week. After that, click HERE to listen to the first of our monthly Comicscast with Josh Whitehurst, Christopher Hadlock and myself discussing many interesting things.

[Rumor] Avengers vs X-Men Plot Points Spoiled by Assface

We at Twinfinite have been looking forward to the Avengers vs X-Men crossover event for a long time.  Earlier today, while perusing the interwebz, I stumbled upon something that made me want to invent the mind-eraser pen from Men in Black just to use it on myself. One of the Marvel letterers, who had to be let go because Disney is forcing Marvel to scale back, decided to give a big middle fingered salute to both Marvel and Disney by posting four [...]

[News] Marvel Presents a New Way to Read Comics with Infinite Comics

Marvel Comics had more than Augmented Reality to show off today.  They brought an entirely new update to the way comics could be presented.  Using their Digital Comics line, they have tweaked the format to an almost movie-like presentation for their digital issues.  Seeing as they will be expanding the digital storefront greatly when they incorporate the entirety of the new releases, this technology is a great way to push forward in the market with a fresh idea. Below you [...]
