New concept art shown off by Suda 51 featuring a female swordsman was revealed via Japanese game magazine Famitsu. Drawn by No More Heroes and Liberation Maiden artist and Suda 51 collaborator Yusuku Kozaki, this beautiful image hints at Suda 51′s next project. Xseed Games is going to be publishing Killer is Dead, Grasshopper Manufacture’s new cel-shaded action game. According to Siliconera, it is slated to be released in Summer 2013. While Xseed will be handling North America, Dead Island publisher Deep Silver will be publishing this game in Europe and Oceania. It begins with a suicide and only gets worse from there. Black Knight Sword is the second collaboration with famed cult studio Grasshopper Manufacture and Hungarian developer Digital Reality. Like their first collaboration, Sine Mora, these two studios take a classic genre (in this case a side-scrolling hack-and-slash) and twist it into a dark, mature fantasy. However the nightmare didn’t end there. Black Knight Sword embodies as sort of macabre horror both in and out of the game.
A year back Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality (Sine Mora) showed off their second collaboration (the first being Sine Mora) titled, Black Knight Sword. It was revealed during the Lollipop Chainsaw Summer Appreciation event over the weekend that Lollipop Chainsaw has shipped over 700,000 units at this time.
