5 Fortnite Concerts That Could Smash Travis Scott’s Viewing Records

The Fortnite island is the venue to headline!

Drake

If there’s one artist that immediately springs to mind when we’re talking about some kind of insane Fortnite event, it’s got to be Drake. The actor-turned-rapper is one of the biggest names in music right now and almost every single he releases turns out to be a grade-A bop.

So you can imagine fans’ excitement if Drizzy himself decided to drop into Fortnite for a quick gig. One Dance, God’s Plan, Passionfruit (yes, it’s a banger), In My Feelings and Toosie Slide is your setlist right there.

V-Bucks would rain down from the sky in homage to the God’s Plan video where Drake’s seen handing out stacks of cash to complete strangers.

Drake comes across as the kind of guy who never wants to be outdone, and with Travis Scott getting a whole lot of attention from his rather excellent Astronomical Fortnite event, we have a feeling Drizzy’s on the phone to Epic right now.

If there’s going to be one artist out there right now that can smash the record that Travis Scott’s Astronomical event set for concurrent players in Fortnite, there’s no doubt that it’d be Drake, and we imagine Epic and the rapper himself would be all about seeing how high they can push that number.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande captured the hearts of many following the tragic events during her World Tour in Manchester in 2017. Despite the dark times the world was faced with, Ariana helped to set up the One Love Manchester event, bringing a ton of the biggest names in music to play one fundraising concert for charity. It also featured a policeman dancing with a little girl. Heartwarming stuff.

While Ariana Grande may not be what your mind immediately jumps to when it comes to the Fortnite audience’s favorite artists, there’s no doubt she puts on quite the show.

Glitzy outfits, epic effects, and her incredible voice is more than enough to win the sea of Battle Royalers.

We also 100% expect Cuddle Team Leaders to accompany her enormous character model (if it were to follow in the footsteps of the Astronomical event).

Perhaps she’ll even do a One Love Fortnite event, with a few surprise cameos thrown in there to catch players off-guard. Imagine 2 Chainz or Pharrell Williams just popping in for a quick song before evaporating into Fortnite thin air as the songs transition. Magical.

Kanye West

If there’s an artist that likes to be the center of attention and is just… an interesting spectacle, it’s Kanye West. Big man Yeezy can’t seem to keep away from the controversy, taking typically ‘uncool’ things and making them ‘cool’ within his own audience.

Alongside the obligatory free Yeezy back bling, that takes a pair of his collaborative effort with Adidas and straps ’em to the back of your Fortnite character, you can bet your bottom dollar Kanye would want to be immortalized in the biggest Battle Royale game right now.

Not to mention, his music just kinda ‘fits’ the epic spectacle that these kinds of Fortnite events are all about. Imagine grooving away with fellow players to classics like Stronger, Gold Digger, Flashing Lights, and In Paris, let alone including some of his more recent bangers like Follow God and KIDS SEE GHOSTS’ 4th Dimension.

Whether you like Kanye’s music or not, you’d no doubt tune into a Fortnite concert anyway. Why? Because you want to see what kind of crazy-ass things he’s got planned to be the hot topic for the next week or so.

Billie Eilish

Whether you like the teenager’s catchy tracks or not, it’s hard to refute that Billie Eilish is the next emerging pop star. Her outlandish fashion style only cements herself as being ‘down with the kids’ and a Fortnite concert seems to be the next logical step on her rise to fame.

What better way to get your name out to an enormous group of people that may not have heard your music before. We can already see the ‘Bad Guy’ emote, with the catchy hook booping away in the background.

We can see an enormous, luminous green Eilish stamping around the island in her typically moody way.

Oasis

Oasis is one of the most iconic bands of all time without a shadow of a doubt. We’ve all been there, belting out the lyrics of Wonderwall amidst a sea of other people all swaying and pouring their drinks on one another.

Oasis, at the peak of their popularity, had the potential to sell out their 125,000 capacity Knebworth show in 1996 a huge 18 times. They did so twice and called it there, but that goes to show just how huge the band’s reputation is.

Then you’ve got Fortnite, this juggernaut of an online game that continues to chug on in the face of adversity. It has the potential to attract over 25 million unique attendees to four or five separate concert dates. It dwarfs Oasis’ Knebworth numbers, albeit 24 years on.

While Gallagher brothers Noel and Liam continue to war with their words, and the latter being unable to persuade the former to reform Oasis for an NHS charity gig in the UK, we can imagine the aging superstars seeing this as a record they could cement for themselves.

With an extensive back catalog of #1 hits that fans are sure to revel hearing again, the possibilities are endless. Will we glide along a neverending blockade for Wonderwall? We’d sway in time with Don’t Look Back in Anger, waving our virtual lighters in unison.

We’d have our funky Gallagher-esque glasses strapped to our faces and a guitar back bling at the ready to air-play our favorite riffs.

Okay, now we need Oasis in Fortnite.
