Black Rock Shooter The Game Coming to US PSN April 23rd

It’s finally happening. Black Rock Shooter The Game is coming out in the US later this month (Europe in April 24th) via the PSN store. A spinoff of sorts from (have you heard of?) Hatsune Miku, Black Rock Shooter started out as a piece of fan work before exploding in popularity to become its own franchise. Developed by Imageepoch, the game was announced for localization a couple years ago by NIS America. Today the company announced that they will be [...]

[News] NIS America Launches Neptunia iOS App

NIS America released Hyperdimension Neptunia the App yesterday for your iPhone and iPod Touch. This app lets you interact with your very own Neptune and Noire straight from your phone. This includes setting alarms and calendar schedules with additional content up for purchase and holding prerecorded conversations. The app itself is free but for full features including ability to take pictures with the characters, voice packs, and different outfits will set you back some. The initial app itself is free [...]

The newest in the Atelier series, Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk will be coming to North America in March of this year. Although the Atelier games are usually localized and brought over to North America by NIS America, Tecmo Koei’s purchase of the developers Gust has changed some things. This time around, Tecmo Koei America will be publishing while NIS America remains responsible for localization. The game will be released March 5th for the Playstation 3. Fans of the [...]

[Review] Mugen Souls

Weird ideas however don’t always make good games so read on to see if Mugen Souls lives up to [...]

[News] NIS America Localizing Denpa Onna, Gives Awesome New Name

NIS America announced recently that they will be bringing SHAFT’s alien (self-proclaimed) girl anime formerly known as Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko in Japan to the states. I say formerly because the localized title is the even more amazing: Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl. Who doesn’t love a David Bowie reference? The story follows a boy who moves in with his aunt to live in the city. He’s content with his adolescence and assigns points to his everyday activities either [...]

[News] Learn Japanese With the Help of NIS’ Character Chowdown

I got an email telling me that NIS’ iOS game Character Chowdown has just been released with its Katakana pack free. Hiragana and Kanji will become available later. Now this game, developed with Yummy Yummy Tummy, essentially teaches you Japanese characters in a fun and interactive form. NIS will also be releasing a future version with characters from Nippon Ichi series games. I’ve played it for a bit and surprisingly I am learning to recognize the characters but how much [...]
