Demon Gaze Review – Is That a Vocaloid?

Do you know about the concept of the “Gaze”? It’s a popular philosophical notion whose origins I don’t want to delve too deeply into but is commonly associated with the newer term of the “Male Gaze”. Basically, it’s a power dynamic that gives or takes power from an individual depending on whether they are on the giving or receiving end of this “Gaze”. I bring this up because the new dungeon-crawler Demon Gaze actively gives you a power in which [...]

There are four trailers in total featuring Neptunia, Noire, Blanc, and Vert and they all follow the same format. Introduction and banter along with some scenes of them singing and dancing in-game. It’s all fully voiced and features game footage of gameplay so it’s well worth a look if you’re interested in the title. Hyperdimension [...]

Despair All Ye Faithful! Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Out Now in North America

Just thought I’d get the word out seeing as though I enjoyed the game so much, but Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is officially out now on the PSN store for the Vita. I’m being told that if you don’t see it on the store’s front page you should search for the title specifically. Rest assured though, the game’s there right now for North American gamers. Europe will be waiting a bit longer until the 14th to get their hands on [...]

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Review – Fast Times at Despair High

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc runs on one thing insanely well: Style. To explain the appeal of it is to ask whether or not you find any of the following elements cool in some way: David Fincher, Takashi Miike, Battle Royale, Saw, Oldboy, Ace Attorney, and the bastardized works of Friedrich Nietzsche. If any combination of those elements caught your attention, then you might want to hit the jump and find out more about this game about despair.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Heroes Has New Screenshots

Normally, I would make fun of the word-salad nature of a Japanese game’s title here, but Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Heroes actually sounds plausible and has an exceedingly cool premise and rather nifty new screenshots, just released today by publisher NIS America. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Heroes, a visual novel from developer Spike Chunsoft, is actually a revised, PS Vita edition of just plain old Danganronpa, released in 2010 for PSP in Japan. It follows Makoto Naegi, a perfectly average Japanese teenager who finds [...]
