The Mummy

WayForward Games’ The Mummy Demastered Is Out This Month

That's a wrap.

WayForward Games’ The Mummy Demastered is finally releasing on Oct. 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, and it looks even cooler than you may have originally imagined. This 16-bit 2D platformer brings classics like Castlevania to mind as you work as a member of the Prodigium organization to slay monsters spawned by one Princess Ahmanet.

You’ll explore forests, tombs, tunnels, and several other sprawling locations as you work to stop Ahmanet in her tracks. There are plenty of zombies, vermin, and other soulless creatures out there to take you out, so you’ve got to stay on your feet.

This retro-inspired shoot-‘em-up combines elements of exploration with adventure gaming with over 50 hidden relics to collect as well as plenty of monsters to kill. If this sounds up your alley, get ready for the end of the month to roll around — near Halloween, of course — and you can give it a try. In the meantime, check out the original teaser trailer below.
