Indie Games, Mainstream? Golden Girls vs Capcom? – Twinfinite Discusses

We’re back with another Twinfinite Discusses! While Alex and Austin still haven’t returned from their honeymoon, Muaz joined Andy and I once again to talk about the topics and questions you sent us in. Here’s an episode on whether indie games will ever truly be mainstream, what kind of gaming hybrid filled with different game mechanics we’d love to make together, and which TV shows would make fantastic video games.

Lumena Bounces to iOS in May

Minimalist rhythm games are a dime a dozen, but Lumena is trying to do something a bit different. Minimalist titles don’t have much to go for, but this really brings back my nostalgia of the classic game Simon. The way Lumena will be different is that it works to combine color coordination with brick breaker by having the player time the shots of the wheel around them. I’ve included the trailer above so you can get a sneak peak, but [...]

Dragon Age Inquisition Gets a Release Date in a Brand New Trailer

Yesterday, we were all treated to the cover art for Bioware’s upcoming Dragon Age Inquisition. Today, we all get to watch the latest gameplay trailer and even get a release date! The entire trailer is actual game footage and it looks glorious.  I can’t wait to jump back into the world of Ferelden and get my Inquisition started. Dragon Age Inquisition releases October 7th on all PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

New Kirby Triple Deluxe Trailer Celebrates Destruction

Well I was surprised when the new Kirby Triple Deluxe trailer blasted through my headphones with Mozart’s Requiem Mass “Dies Irie.” Yeah, it’s pretty intense, just give the video a click and awe. That’s really anyone can do in the face of pure destruction. Kirby: Triple Deluxe will be available for 3DS consoles on May 2nd.

New Trailer for Batman: Assault on Arkham

Troy Baker, we’ll never be shot of him. Gruff gnarly voice man plays a starring role as legendary villain The Joker in upcoming Batman animated film Batman: Assault on Arkham. As the name would suggest, this cartoon will be linked to the recent Arkham branch of the universe. It hasn’t got the most original premise – The Joker has a bomb rigged to go off somewhere in Gotham, will Batman save the day? – but heck, it’s a superhero movie, get to the punching [...]

Want Your Own TF2 Syringe Gun?

Hey, you! Yeah, you! Are you a fan of Team Fortress 2? Have you ever thought to yourself, “Man, I would just love to own a prop/replica TF2 weapon?!” Well, then, you’re in luck! The very talented William Jakespeare has decided to sell his insanely awesome syringe gun. TF2 fans will instantly recognize this as the default Medic weapon. I have to say, my only complaint is that his syringe gun doesn’t contain actual syringes, but short of me asking [...]

New Character Trailers for Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection

A whole slew of trailers were released yesterday starring and introducing the various idols you’ll be in charge of while playing Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection. There are four trailers in total featuring Neptunia, Noire, Blanc, and Vert and they all follow the same format. Introduction and banter along with some scenes of them singing and dancing in-game. It’s all fully voiced and features game footage of gameplay so it’s well worth a look if you’re interested in the title. Hyperdimension [...]

Thirty Minutes of Chroma Squad Gameplay For Your Eyeballs

Unless you’re able to be in more than one place at a time, chances are you missed some stuff at PAX East. Hell, I know I missed a ton of stuff, and one of them was regretfully the sentai inspired Chroma Squad, from Behold Studios. Luckily, Behold was nice enough to post the entire 30-minute demo on their YouTube channel. Chroma Squad is a homage to Japanese sentai television shows — e.g., Power Rangers. In the game players will be creating their own sentai television [...]
