This Amazing Custom Satoru Iwata amiibo Is up for Auction

The ultimate tribute.

The custom amiibo scene is pretty amazing. There have been intricate, detailed specialties such as Captain Toad, Wind Waker Toon Link, John Cena Villager, and so many more. This new custom, however, is far and away the best I’ve ever seen.

Using a Mii Swordfighter amiibo as the base, creator GandaKris has transformed the sword he wields into the Master Sword, as a Pokéball, 1-Up Mushroom, Star Wand, Nintendo cap, and Hero’s Shield from Wind Waker lay at his feet. The blond figure’s hair has been painted black, and the face painted to match Iwata’s personal Mii design, complete with that iconic grin of his.

This stunning tribute is currently being auctioned off for charity by amiibo Alerts, and is sitting at $710 USD at the time of this writing. All proceeds from the amiibo’s sale will be donated to the Child’s Play Charity. For that kind of money you could buy up more than 50 standard amiibo, but none of them will be as special as the one-of-a-kind Satoru Iwata specialty.

If you end up as the lucky owner, you can even set him up in Super Smash Bros. with the newly released Business Suit outfit and fight with Iwata on your team in-game. Go on and place a bid. You know you want to.
