ARK: Survival Evolved Brings a Flying Battleship Dinosaur into the Mix

You've sunk my Quetzalcoatlus!

Studio Wildcard has unleashed the latest dinosaur to roam the ARK: Survival Evolved land: Quetzalcoatlus. This flying dinosaur is described as a “battleship.” Judging from the release trailer, it appears to be a lot like a pterodactyl that you can build a base upon to launch strikes from where ever you go.

This comes during ARK: Survival Evolved’s current 33% off sale on Steam and after a huge update last week. The update introduced swamp and snow sections where players would be able to find new animals that fit those climates.

“The island of ARK has been recently expanded! Check out the new ‘Swamp’ and ‘Snow’ zones where climate-specific animals abound. The ‘Swamp’ is a fetid, hazy, waterlogged expanse filled with prehistoric snakes, gators, bugs, piranhas, and the ‘Beezlebufo’ gigantic frog, which players can ride to vault over obstacles with huge leap. Then head to the subzero temperatures of the ‘Snow’ zone, where players need to don bulky fur armor. This cold weather zone is also home to the vicious yet rideable ‘Dire Wolves’ and the elegant Megaloceros ‘Stags’ that also call this zone home.”

ARK: Survival Evolved is still in Early Access and shows no signs of stopping the updates anytime soon. What do you think of the new Quetzalcoatlus? Can’t wait to get your hands on your very own? Let us know in the comments below!
