Those of you who took part in the Star Wars: Battlefront beta may have noticed that the Walker Assault mode was nearly impossible to win if you were playing as the rebels. Well, don’t worry, it’s not your fault entirely. Multiple Battlefront team members have acknowledged that the issue lies with balancing, and that it will be resolved before launch.
The game’s community manager confirmed, approached by a player on Twitter who said that “I have never won a match as a rebel. does this mean I suck?” responded with “Nope! Its a balancing issue within the Beta.” One of Battlefront’s multiplayer designers also jumped in to note that they are aware of Walker Assault’s imbalance and are working on a fix: “yeah it’s too tough. We’ll make changes based on the feedback and data.”
Star Wars: Battlefront is due to come out for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC on Nov 17 and EA recently announced that the games recent Beta saw over 9 million players log in, despite it having only the Walker Assault and Drop Zone modes as well as a Tatooine mission. According to EA, the Star Wars: Battlefield beta was “the single largest beta in the history of EA.”
